Darren Rust is a 4-time Emmy Award–winning producer, Dove Award recipient, and certified Grammy Award winner with more than 35 years of experience in vocal arranging, music production, recording, mixing, and mastering.

As the founder of Skyland Productions and Skyland Studios, Darren has worked with hundreds of artists and vocal groups from across the United States and around the world. His work spans a wide range of genres, such as country, pop, R&B, Soul, with particular recognition for his expertise in vocal production, arranging, and a-cappella recording.

Over the course of his career, Darren has produced, recorded, and mixed projects for renowned vocal groups including Home Free, The Blenders, Naturally 7, Straight No Chaser, Maybebop, Go Fish, The Ball Brothers, BYU Vocal Point, Eclipse 6, and Noteworthy, among many others.

His engineering and mixing credits also include work with major recording artists such as Michael Bublé, Cory Wong, Lee Greenwood, Alabama, The Oak Ridge Boys, Mark Wills, Hunter Brothers, Quincy Jones, Donnie Osmond, Ludacris, Siedah Garrett, and The Sounds of Blackness.

Earlier in his career, Darren was a founding member and producer for the award-winning vocal group The Blenders, producing and arranging the group’s 15-album catalog and helping establish the vocal production techniques that continue to define his studio work today.

Today, Darren focuses on helping artists bring their music to life through world-class arranging, production, recording, mixing, and mastering at Skyland Studios.
